Mischa Barton
Barton is a theater actor as well as film and television. Barton is a British-American. Slavs, Tony Kushner's play in New York's Lincoln Center was her first theatrical performance. James Lapine's Twelve Dreams was her first character. The actress made her acting debut in the year 1996 by appearing on the American serial show All My Children, and she voiced a character on the Nickelodeon animated show KaBlam! in 1996 through 1997. From 1996 to 1997, her first major acting performance was in Lawn Dogs, a drama starring Sam Rockwell. Her most notable movies include M. Night Shyamalan's Psychological thriller The Sixth Sense (1998) and the comedy about love Notting Hill (1998). Also in 1999, she made an appearance in Pups which was a crime thriller that was created by an independent company. Then, Barton acted as Evan Rachel Wood's friend in ABC's Once and Again (2001) as well as in the independent drama Lost and Delirious (2001). Barton played Marissa Cooper in the 2003-2006 season of the Fox television series The O.C., for which she was awarded two Teen Choice Awards. Barton has been named the "It Girl for 2003" by Entertainment Weekly because she played the role. Barton played the role of a leading character in the Richard Attenborough directed dramatic Closing the Ring as well as the comedies St Trinian's The Assassination of an ex-high school president and Assassination of the president. In 2009, she was back on TV, in the CW show The Beautiful Life that Ashton Kutcher produced.
